CLUB OPEN HOUSE

 

What is Club Open House?

An annual District 7 sponsored recognition program for clubs that conducts an open house resulting in at least 3 new, dual, or reinstated members.

Awards for CLUB OPEN HOUSE

  • A club Banner, or
  • A Banner stand with bag (Item 324)
  • Bonus! Plus $40 District 7 Dollars for 5 or more members (new, dual or reinstated)

CLUB RULES

  • Conduct an open house between January 1 and March 18.
  • Add 3 new, dual, or reinstated members as a result of the open house.
  • New, dual, or reinstated members need to be officially registered with World Headquarters as belonging to this club before March 25.
  • Notify the LGM the date of the open house at least 2 days PRIOR to the event date.
  • Notify the LGM the results and the names of the new, dual, or reinstated members no later than 2 weeks after the event.

Tips for CLUB OPEN HOUSE

  • Consider conducting a special theme, such as Job Interviewing Workshop.
  • Check out Toastmasters.org and How to Host a Club Open House article.
  • Work with your club VP of Public Relations to run a club campaign.
  • Begin your marketing 6 weeks in advance.
  • Submit Press Release to local papers.
  • Increase traffic to your club website, use social media.
  • Advertise your Open House on the D7 website in addition to your own site.
  • Use the wealth of materials found the Virtual Brand Portal at www.toastmasters.org
  • Obtain free brochures from WHQ store every time you place an order.
