A special D7 sponsored recognition program for members and for governors that start (charter) a new club between July 15, 2011 and September 15, 2011.

• Counts toward President's Distinguished Area
• Counts toward President's Distinguished Division

Rules for Start a September Club

• The club needs to charter by September 24, 2011

Tips for Start a September Club

• Choose from a multitude of settings: corporations, churches, community centers, restaurants
• Community clubs are usually open to anyone
• Corporations are often limited to employees and closed to outside members
• Find at least twenty interested people who want to improve their communication and leadership skills
• Determine a meeting location to get together for about an hour a week.
• Notify district leaders: area governor, division governor, lieutenant governor marketing
• Fill out the appropriate New Club Forms from TI
• Schedule your first official meeting
• Request a New Club information Kit
