Well, sort of. The TED Talks style comes to TLI (Toastmasters Leadership Institute).

TED Talks time limits are 18 minutes. No more, no less. The emphasis is placed on dynamic content and innovated ideas. What better way to learn about all the different Club Officer roles and more.

Regrettably, Bono had other commitments. Thus is unable to host the preview of District 7 TLI TED style (he does send his wishes for a fabulous day). However, we do have an all-star lineup of presenters for this year's mid-year training. Just to name drop a few:

When:	Saturday, January 21, 2012 8:00am-12:30pm Club Officer Training 12:30pm-3:00pm Governor Training (Registration opens at 7:00am)
Where:	Con-way Transportation 2055 NW Savier Street, Portland, Oregon 97209
Why:	Required by Toastmasters International as part of the Distinguished Club Program
Who:	Club Officers (minimum of 4 must attend training) and proactive members interested in becoming officers next year
How:	Signup in advance so that we know how many chairs to put out, how much food to purchase and how many greeters to staff

Important Notes:

1. Remember to “check-in” with the registration desk once you arrive on Saturday. This is the only way that the District can ensure you and your club receive credit for attending the training.
2. Con-way is a secure facility requiring that you enter through the security desk. Please arrive early to allow plenty of time to “check-in”.
3. Doors, registration, coffee, and breakfast line open at 7:00am.
4. TriMet bus stop (ID 10694) located at NE 21st & Savier. Right next to Con-Way.
