The Toastmasters educational program is divided into two tracks -- a Communication track and a Leadership track.

The educational program is the heart of every Toastmasters club. It provides members with a proven curriculum that develops communication and leadership skills one step at a time, with many opportunities for awards and recognition along the way.

The Communication and Leadership tracks are not mutually exclusive; you may participate in both at the same time, if you wish and you are encouraged to do so.  Each member is responsible for setting and achieving his or her own individual goals.

The Communication Track is dedicated to improving speaking and listening skills. Toastmasters complete various speech projects at each education level, and obtain feedback from fellow club members.

The Leadership Track is dedicated to developing leadership skills through a variety of club activities. Toastmasters complete various speech projects at each education level, and obtain feedback from fellow club members.

The chart below summarizes the milestones on the tracks to achieving the rank of "Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM)."
