Oregon Convention Center

Communication '10 is being held at the Oregon Convention Center, the largest convention facility in the Northwest. The facility has over 250,000 square feet of exhibit space, 50 meeting rooms, two ballrooms, and the Sky view Terrace overlooking the Willamette River and downtown Portland. With over 500 people expected at the conference, the event will be held in the Portland Ballroom with breakout sessions occurring in the nearby meeting rooms.

The Oregon Convention Center was the first LEED-EB Silver re-certified facility in the country. The facility manages an extensive material and waste recycling and recovery program that includes pre- and post-consumer organic waste, cardboard, newspaper, cans, plastics, glass bottles, wood pallets, cooking oil, and landscaping trimmings. This program has diverted 266 tons of materials from landfills in the 2007-2008 fiscal year. During our convention, there will be multiple recycling containers to place plastics and glass in to. Please use them.
