Happy New Year District 7 Members! Wow, six months have almost gone by in our Toastmasters year and I hope you all stop and reflect on how we are doing personally and in our clubs. How are you doing on your goals? Is your club growing by having open houses, recruiting new members? How are you doing personally on your goals and are they being met by the club, area, division and district? Since this is the time for making resolutions, why not make one both personally and in your club. Plan an open house, ask someone to come to a club meeting just to observe. Make it a personal goal to increase your clubs membership in this New Year we have just started. How about yourself? Have you reached the next level in your Toastmaster career? How can the district help you with that and with your club? You only have to ask us. You the member. are the eyes and ears of the District. In order for the Top Trio to serve you better, please let Ann, Cindy and myself know your suggestions, concerns, problems and triumphs. The magic of Toastmasters is the sharing and support we give each other. Learning from each other helps us grow individually. Without you the member, there would be no District 7. I want to personally thank all of you for being part of this great organization and in making District 7 the best. So many things coming up in this New Year. TLI in January, new officers, new clubs, clubs growing in membership by leaps and bounds(you're not going to let me down on this one are you?) Contests, elections and of course the best one. Our collective district goal is to show the world we are again a Distinguished District. Only you the member can help achieve that goal. What does it mean really, to be a Distinguished District? Another ribbon on the District banner? Yes, but what it means is that District 7 is S.T.E.A.D.Y.! What does that mean: S= the support that we give each other to help not only grow ourselves but our clubs, areas, division and district. T= the teamwork that makes this district work and makes a strong foundation for our members. E= is the effort that each individual member gives to make District 7 the best. A= is the great attitude that we have in District 7 to make our goals both personally and in Toastmasters. is the deadication of all of you. Caring about each other and wanting to share with others the great Toastmaster program. and finally Y= YOU the best of the best in Toastmasters. Without the great members of this district we would not be as great as we are. In the coming months, please strive for the best in yourself, your club, area, division and district. We can achieve all our goals but together, STEADY WINS THE RACE. Together we will win, we will achieve our goals, we will be Distinguished. Happy New Year To All Marsha Ware. DTM |
